One of the coolest things about Broken Hill is the community radio called 2dry fm, great music! Tuning that on we went for a drive around the town. It has some amazing buildings to offer with immense history, architecture , culture and attention. Near the church is a good vantage point for a picture that shows the Broken hill. Well it is actually a man-made hill made by filling the forged out hill that disappeared with mining. The richest haul of lead-silver-zinc was discovered in Broken hill.

As we drove around, it seemed we are in a chemistry class, with streets names after minerals: Sulphide, Chloride, Cobalt, Gypsum and more.
Be sure to capture a picture with Pro Hart's big ant and the pulley near it.

Since it was Christmas, the city was shut ( our bad ) but the there are heaps of cafes , pubs and restaurants to offer , you won't be disappointed at all. We headed towards the only shop open in Broken Hill for our lunch which was Coles Express ( they are open 365 days) phew!!. Grabbed a some grocery and back to our cottage to cook up some lunch.
After a bit of relaxing ( being 40 degrees outside ) we headed out again after 5 pm towards the Silver City highway. Just past Robinson college you will find 4wd marks in case you want a bit of adventure. It was a good time with sun slowly setting down and us going up and down the rustic outback.

Somehow felt like time had stopped , 2dry fm added to the feel playing all old skool classics. Few roos jumping around we had a great time when the whole city was shut.

Travelling fact learnt: Coles Express to rescue on public holiday!
